First images of Black Adam surface in DC FanDome trailer
A trailer for this year’s DC FanDome virtual event features brief footage of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Black Adam.
A brief but tantalizing look at Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema Black adam surfaced in a new trailer for DC FanDome.
After 30 seconds, fans can glimpse Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Black Adam in a dark setting that is periodically illuminated by lightning.
Black adam has had a long and tedious road to production. As early as 2007, Johnson’s name was attached to the main character, but the solo film didn’t start until a decade later.
“Yes, sure, in mythology Black Adam is a villain, or he can be an anti-hero,” Johnson said in 2017 after Black adam got the green light. “Or for some he’s a hero – for some with dark hearts, like me. Growing up, DC villains have always been my ‘heroes.’ As evil as they were, they always were my. favorites. Always are. Luthor, Joker, Brainiac, Sinestro, etc. in the Universe. “
Jaume Collet-Serra has been chosen to lead Black adam in 2019, and he and Johnson collaborated on Jungle cruise just before the shooting of the DC movie.
