Lore Olympus Announces Official Return With Mysterious New Visual
Popular webtoon lore Olympus returns with an official date and key visual that could tie Persephone and Hade to the fate of Olympus.
The award-winning webtoon Lore Olympus returns with an official release date that has many fans excited to see Olympus’ favorite couple, Hades and Persephone. However, a mysterious new visual is also sending fans into a theorizing frenzy about the current state of the realms after the hectic Season 2 mid-season finale.
Written and drawn by Rachel Smythe, Lore Olympus offers a modern twist on classic Greek myth by creating something completely wholesome. Sparks fly when Persephone, the goddess of spring, meets Hades, the god of death. Cross star lovers fight for their love as they battle heartbreak, family drama, politics and the best elite gods of Olympus. The romantic drama started releasing in 2018 and continues to break records. While an original Webtoon, Lore Olympus is now a collector’s paperback, with volume two in stores in early July.
Rachel Smythe has announced the official return date of Lore Olympus on Twitter. Scheduled for the end of April, the series will return 4 months after its stormy mid-season finale in early January. Smythe also revealed a mysterious visual of abandoned Underworld office equipment on a green field. With a simple “See you soon. x” that ignited the floodgates for fan theories about the upcoming Season 2 sequel.
April is perfect for the return of the Goddess of Spring as it represents the flowering of plants and trees. In Latin, the name translates to “Aprilis” which means “to open” and is also named after the goddess of love herself, Aphrodite. How? ‘Or’ What Lore Olympus compares to the myth of Hades and Persephone is very different, especially now that the goddess of spring is judged against the gods of Olympus. However, the visual reminds fans of the tree that Persephone left behind in the underworld, a place where no living thing can survive. As the trial reveals new truths about Persephone and the best goddesses, including Aphrodite, Olympus will never be the same again.
Returning Lore Olympus will finally answer many fans’ questions and theorize about Zeus’ harsh decision for the unfortunate couple. Since Hades and Persephone can no longer see each other, their unforbidden love remains central to the story’s development and could even bring more misfortune for the Three Kingdoms. The gods of Olympus are also struggling to adapt to recent developments and the emerging agendas of others. Proving that the webtoon based on the Greek myth is a perfect translation of the antics of the gods for betrayal and drama. On top of that, the underworld also faces its own destruction, which Hades might not be able to handle on its own. Smythe’s creative visual sets the tone perfectly for Lore Olympusis back and why the webtoon deserves all its accolades.
