The UABC launches a project in favor of the popularization of science | Tijuana News


Tijuana, British Columbia. – The presentation of the Cimarrón Science project was privileged by returning to live events in College of Humanities and Social Sciencesinside UABC campus in Tijuana.

The scientific publication project was presented by the director of the College, Maria de Jesus Montoya Robles, Concepcion Paxín Melgoza, head of the audiovisual production area, Luis Alberto Alcantara, project production coordinator, and Rebecca Mancella, head of the ‘editing.

“Cimarrón Science is an audiovisual project that includes content to disseminate the scientific work of the university community”, said the director of the academic unit during the presentation of the project.

Troubleshooting Community

He commented that the intention of Cimarrón Science was to have a greater impact in solving community problems, as the content would be tied to basic applied science for easy dissemination.

“The project was born from surveys in the university’s postgraduate courses, as well as surveys carried out by the various universities,” said production coordinator Luis Alberto Alcantara.
